Without a doubt, a true temple of nature crossed by a totally conditioned route that allows us to cross this narrow gorge. An important colony of vultures, among other birds, will fly over our heads as we walk at the foot of the vertical walls that form the Foz of Lumbier accompanying the riverbed that continues to shape it. Together with Lumbier, the Foz of Arbayún and the Foz of Burgui, both of great beauty and natural value but with less conditioned or simple accesses or routes, mark the natural border between the Navarrese Pyrenees in the north and the wide valleys in the south.

The Ultazama Valley is home, among other charms, to a natural area known as the Robledales de Ultzama and Basaburua where hundreds of years old singular trees, flora and fauna of great ecological value await us. A conditioned and adapted path runs through the interior of the Orgi Forest allowing us, for example, to contemplate the birds that live here from one of its observatories, a Birding experience for the little ones and not so little ones. The steep Leyre mountain range is furrowed by countless hiking trails, some of them following the ancestral paths that the shepherds used to follow year after year in their traditional transhumant march. Others, such as the Path of the Fountain of San Virila, take us from the very Monastery of San Salvador de Leyre to the place where, according to legend, this monk took a 350-year nap after waking up and returning to his precious monastery. It is a much shorter walk than the one made by Abbot Virila and which will take us through this steep mountain range.
